SMS Opt-In Process
East Coast Food Distributors (Kelco Industries, Inc.) · Last updated: July 8, 2026
This page documents how delivery drivers opt in to our SMS delivery notifications. Opt-in happens in person at our warehouse at the time of a delivery — there is no online sign-up. Related: Privacy Policy · Terms & Conditions.
How a driver opts in
- A freight driver arrives at our warehouse to make a delivery and checks in at a self-service kiosk tablet (or gives their number verbally to receiving staff at the office window).
- On the kiosk, the driver enters their purchase-order number and confirms the vendor of origin for their load.
- The driver is asked for their mobile number. Directly beneath the phone field, the screen displays the consent disclosure (shown exactly as rendered below, in English and Spanish) covering automated texts, message purpose, frequency, “message and data rates may apply,” and STOP opt-out.
- By entering their number and tapping Check in, the driver consents to receive operational texts about that delivery only (dock door assignment, load complete / paperwork release, or load refusal).

A bilingual poster is displayed above the kiosk explaining the check-in steps, the texts the driver will receive, and a no-SMS alternative (ring the bell and check in with staff at the window). View it here: driver check-in poster (11×17, English / Spanish).
